Swayam

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), under the Government of India (GoI) has launched Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) for the aspirants to enable them to avail the benefits of digital learning from this portal. SWAYAM is a free and interactive medium that is loaded with learning material, expert faculty sessions/lectures, online courses (MOOCs), and prestigious certifications that will make you employable in the job market. More than 1,000 faculty members are associated with SWAYAM to ensure quality learning of students. Apart from that, the current database says that 12541992 students are already active learners at this portal.

All the courses are valid in the country and UGC has announced credit transfer for SWAYAM courses(“Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM” Regulations, 2016 in the Gazette of India on July 19, 2016).

Courses delivered through SWAYAM are available free of cost to the learners.

For SWAYAM certificate one should register for the final exams at a nominal fee.

Certificates may be used by students enrolled in India's higher education to earn academic credit for completing SWAYAM courses earmarked as credit-eligible by their universities. It offers over 2,150 courses taught by close to 1,300 instructors from over 135 Indian universities.
