Department of Hindi offers two undergraduate programme B.A. (Hons.) Hindi and B.A .(Hons.) Hindi Patrakarita evam Jansanchar and a post graduate programme M.A. Hindi affiliated to the University of Delhi.

Faculty members of this Department have diverse specialities, from language to literature, from literary theory to translations.

After this course the possible avenues for students are Government, administration, civil services, journalism, media, teaching, research etc.

There is a dedicated lab with a video camera, computer and internet facility. The Department publishes an annual newsletter under the banner of Hindi Patrakarita Evam Jansanchar. Students undertake internship at different media schools during the summer vacations. During the session they take part in educative TV programmes on channels like IBN7 and TV Today. Prominent journalists and faculty from other Mass Communication Institute are invited to organize interactive workshops for the students.
