The English Literary Society is a platform for students of the department of English to engage in academic and creative expressions outside the classroom space. The society constantly endeavours to expose students to expert speakers and new researches by organising seminars and conferences.

The Lit Soc, as students popularly call it, also encourages students to organise and participate in student seminars and competitions. Thus, allowing students space for initiative and experimentation.

The Society was named as Ubiquitous as it means something which is present everywhere. It is an umbrella under which all literary activities take place outside classrooms . It provides a platform for the literati’s to be recognised and have a standing outside the academic realm.  The Society was formed with two different objectives initially, first it being a morale booster to the obscure throng of literature and second to let the students have an interactive juncture both on inter and intra college levels.It has   benefitted   students   in   unreckonable   ways,   may   that   be   the development of one's own perspective towards society and literature or encouragement to read and treat literature as an essential requisite to oneself. Ubiquitous aims at providing a definite platform to literature and language enthusiasts   to   express   and   develop   their   ideas   in   various   oratory   and writing competitions. It endeavours constantly to expose students to expert speakers and new researchers by organising seminars and conferences.
